Program Administrator

LGBTQ+ Professional
Experience Required

This is a full time position with Rainbow Access Initiative, Inc. (RAI) located in Albany, NY. Applicants with LGBTQ+ competency training and/or experience required. Applicants with work experience in mental health and substance use services strongly preferred. Must be able to work remotely as well as in-person. Flexible Hours & Paid Time off.

 

RAI provides comprehensive, affirming, and culturally sensitive clinical and case management care for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Communities (LGBTQ+) throughout the Capital Region. RAI is particularly dedicated to providing quality care to underserved populations including LGBTQ+ Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) and LGBTQ+ people living with physical and/or mental disabilities or challenges.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees clinical intakes and referrals

  • Collaborates with the Board of Directors and Clinical team to develop plans for programming that support the organization’s mission and objectives

  • Assists in creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines

  • Manages and coordinates program logistics and administrative support

  • Performs quality control on programming throughout development to maintain the standards expected

  • Communicates consistently with the Board of Directors to keep the program aligned with the organization’s objectives

  • Assists in developing sustainable goals for the organization

  • Actively seeks out/procurement of grants and other fundraising opportunities

  • Communicates and collaborates with the Billing Contractor as needed

  • Task supervisor to staff, interns, and others on matters relating to administrative policies and procedures and to program activities

  • Meets with the Board of Directors to discuss program status and goals

  • Works with the Board of Directors and Clinical team to improve strategies

  • Performs related duties as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 2 years of related work experience or Some college with a minimum of 4 years of related work experience

  • A firm understanding of LGBTQ+ populations, intersectionality, ethnic & racial diversity, and social justice

  • Some work experience and/or training in substance use, addictions, and recovery services

  • Some experience using Word, PDFs, Excel, Google Drive, Google Workspace
